These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Explosive Speed Timer mobile application (“App”). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms.

 

  1. The App

The App helps you measure sprint times using video frame selection and generates a timer overlay for export. The App is intended primarily for training and coaching purposes.

 

  1. Eligibility

The App may be used by adults and by children/youth. If you are under the age required to enter into a binding agreement in your jurisdiction, you must have permission from a parent/guardian (or be supervised by a coach/club) to use the App.

 

  1. License and Acceptable Use

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

You agree not to:

  • misuse the App, interfere with its operation, or attempt to circumvent security or limitations;
  • reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code except where permitted by law;
  • use the App in a way that violates laws or third-party rights.

 

  1. Your Content

You may import and export videos through the App. You retain all rights to your content. We do not claim ownership of your videos.

To operate the App, you grant us a limited license only to the extent technically necessary to process content on your device (no server upload).

 

  1. Accuracy and Disclaimer

Timing results depend on video frame rate, recording conditions, and your frame selection.

  • The App may provide timing accuracy down to the level allowed by the video (e.g., at 240 fps, one frame is ~0.00417 seconds).
  • However, the App is provided for training/coaching use and is not guaranteed to be accurate for official competition timing or regulatory compliance.

 

  1. Purchases, Subscriptions, and Billing

The App may offer subscription access to features (“Subscription”).

Billing & renewal

  • Subscriptions are billed through the App Store or Google Play.
  • Unless you cancel, your Subscription automatically renews at the end of each billing period.
  • Pricing and billing period are shown at the time of purchase.

 

  1. Updates and Changes

We may update the App to improve performance, add features, or comply with legal requirements. Some updates may be required for continued use.

 

  1. Intellectual Property

The App, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by Explosive AS or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the license granted above, no rights are granted to you.

 

  1. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you materially breach these Terms, or if required for legal or security reasons. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it.

 

  1. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • the App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind;
  • Explosive AS will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of data, profits, or goodwill;
  • Explosive AS’s total liability for any claim relating to the App will not exceed the amount you paid (if any) for the App in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so these may not fully apply to you.

 

  1. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Explosive AS from claims arising out of your misuse of the App or violation of these Terms or applicable law.

 

  1. Governing Law and Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of Norway, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be brought before the competent courts in Norway.
